Tristan Brown
Who knew that a place in little ole Carrollton would be so pivotal in someone's career dreams. From the classes to the lab at WUTV, the eager to excel student Tristan Brown translated the anchoring and technical directing skills developed at the station to succeed in the real world. He took advantage of his experience with live newscasts at WUTV and with his courses because of how much he wanted to work and excel in his career field.
WUTV provided a place where Brown could work on skills that could translate into the real world. Versatility was a strength for him whether he was in front of the camera or behind the scenes. With his many roles as a Sports Director, Video Journalist, and Technical Director, he treated WUTV as if it were a national news network. From learning to how to handle constructive criticism to learning how to tell a story in a news package, everything he learned helped him become successful in his career today.
Brown graduated in the Spring of 2017. He is now a Content Transmission Specialist for Warner Bros. Discovery. He is one of the few people that help broadcast sporting events across national networks such as TNT, TBS, TruTV, and Max. Some of his consistent projects include broadcasting MLB on TBS, and broadcasting NBA, NCAA March Madness Tournaments, and NHL on the TNT network. He has been in his current role for almost two years now and with the company for 5 years in total.
