From the moment Gabrielle Nelloms was a child, she knew she wanted to be involved in news. Growing up in Macon, she was captivated by the world of journalism and dreamed of one day making her mark in the industry.
Nelloms journeyed west to attend the University of West Georgia. During her time at UWG, Nelloms was involved in various organizations, including WUTV. Her skills were truly molded while working at WUTV and taking broadcast classes. She learned the fundamental basics of writing scripts and gained valuable experience operating at a TV station.
After graduating from the University of West Georgia in 2018, Gabrielle's journey began when she landed a job as an Associate Producer at WGXA in her hometown. Her talent and dedication quickly became apparent, and she soon transitioned to a freelance producer role, eventually becoming a full-time producer.
In August 2021, Gabrielle took a significant step forward in her career by joining CNN as a Cross-Platform Associate Producer. This position gave her the opportunity to work on a variety of shows and projects, including the prestigious Anderson Cooper show. Her time at CNN was marked by rapid growth and invaluable experiences.
By 2022, Nelloms had joined CNN's Domestic team as a full-time Associate Producer. In this role, she played a crucial part in launching the brand-new afternoon show, "CNN News Central." Additionally, she gained experience as an anchor producer, working closely with well-known anchors like Sarah Sidner and Rahel Solomon.
Today, Gabrielle Nelloms continues to thrive at CNN, now serving as a Video/Tapes Producer for Kasie Hunt’s show. Her journey from a young girl with a dream to a respected producer at one of the world's leading news networks is a testament to her passion, hard work, and dedication to the field of journalism.
