The student-managed station provides valuable experiential learning opportunities and
students are trained on state-of-the-art equipment.
Students across varied majors create content that enhances campus life by delivering quality
educational, informational, and entertaining programming to both the campus and Carroll
County community.
The students and volunteers engage in activities and productions resulting in building
impressive portfolio of resumé reels. Using student produced content, gives students a
competitive edge in regards to securing internships and careers in a competitive media
landscape. The outcome has yielded several successfully prepared students for career readiness
and placement to obtain jobs immediately upon graduation in the top 100 TV markets across
the country.
We kicked off the fall semester with an UTIP interest meeting. Students came to learn about WUTV and how we work at the station. The staff introduced themselves and everyone did ice breakers to get to know one another. By the end of the meeting, everyone shared their interest and got excited for UTIP training.
