Catalina Triviño’s journey from a passionate student at the University of West Georgia to an accomplished bilingual anchor/reporter and brand marketer is a testament to her dedication and talent in the field of journalism and marketing. Catalina, has always been driven by a desire to tell impactful stories and create meaningful content.
During her time at UWG, Catalina immersed herself in the world of broadcast journalism. She was actively involved with WUTV, the university's television station, where she served in various roles including News Director, Anchor, and Assignment Manager. Catalina’s involvement with WUTV provided her with hands-on experience in using cameras, directing shoots, editing videos, writing for broadcast, and managing people.
Her hard work and dedication earned her several accolades, including the Mass Communications Award of Excellence for Convergence Journalism and the UWG Department of Mass Communications Professional Development Award.
After graduating in 2012, Triviño launched her journalism career as an anchor and reporter for CBS in Montgomery and NBC Connecticut. She covered stories for NBC, Telemundo, and The Weather Channel, demonstrating her bilingual skills. With over 12 years in journalism, branding, and project management, Triviño earned an Associated Press award, highlighting her excellence in the field.
Currently, she is a Global Content Leader for IBM Global Talent Marketing in Austin, Texas. At IBM she serves as the business' lead design consultant for its voice, visual expression, and design language. Catalina is also the owner of YouGlow Media, a marketing agency helping clients/organizations tell their stories.
