Johnson graduated from the University of West Georgia in 2019. Armed with a degree and a passion for journalism, he set out to find his place in the world of news. His hard work paid off when, just a year later, he landed a job at CBS 4 KVEO in Harlingen, Texas.
At CBS 4, Johnson found himself on the morning show team, a critical role that required him to be up before the sun. He was responsible for producing the 5am and 6am shows, ensuring that viewers started their day informed and engaged. For two years, he dedicated himself to the morning shows, honing his skills in live production, scripting, and time management.
After proving his abilities and earning the respect of his colleagues, Johnson was offered a new challenge. He signed a one-year contract to produce the 4pm show for NBC 23. This role allowed him to bring his creativity and experience to a different time slot, engaging a new audience and further expanding his expertise.
