Camryn's journey
finding the Foundation AT WUTV
In a constantly evolving world, Camryn Kiley built a strong foundation in broadcast production that later translated into valuable skills on film sets. While attending the University of West Georgia, Kiley served as the Technical Director at WUTV, where she operated what she affectionately refers to as "The amazing TriCaster." She credits WUTV's fast-paced environment and the necessity to troubleshoot quickly as key factors that prepared her for success in her professional career.
The Crossover From Broadcast to Film
Working with the team at WUTV significantly enhanced her ability to communicate and coordinate effectively with crew members on set. Although broadcasting and filming a TV show differ in content, Kiley believes that without her experience at WUTV, she wouldn't be nearly as successful on set today. She graduated in the spring semester of 2021 and currently works as a Video Assistant Operator for commercial and TV/film projects.
Working Hard and Playing Hard
Kiley operates as an independent contractor associated with See Production Services. In this role, she provides essential images for Directors, Producers, Directors of Photography (DP), and even Hair/Makeup and Costume departments. Additionally, she handles playback, overlays, and green screen editing. Despite the demands of her job, the environment allows her to enjoy goofy moments with friends on set.
