Abbi Anderson explored all the areas of communications however her journey began with her producing. Following obtaining her bachelor's degree in Mass Communications in May 2016, Anderson started out as a morning producer in Montgomery Alabama. After working for six months, she moved to Chattanooga to work as the morning producer at Local 3 News. Her journey came full circle when she returned to UWG to assume the role of Executive Producer at WUTV.
During her time at the station, Anderson learned how to effectively communicate. She not only developed the ability to convey information clearly and effectively to a diverse audience but also became skilled in breaking down complex ideas into understandable parts. Anderson also learned valuable research skills and engagement techniques which she continues to use in her current field.
In 2019, Anderson experienced a tragic life incident that prompted her to reevaluate what she wanted to do with her life. Ultimately, she decided to return to school and earn her masters in teaching also at UWG. Building upon the communication skills and engagement techniques she acquired during her time at WUTV, Anderson now channels her expertise as a Special Education teacher.
