In honor of the late Dr. Bill Roll and his contributions to parapsychological research, the UWG Psychology Program annually hosts the Bill Roll Lecture. Each year, it is presented by a current researcher in the field of parapsychology. The 2023 Bill Roll Lecture is entitled, "The Science of Channeling" given by Helané Wahbeh the Director of Research at the Institute of Noetic Sciences, an adjunct assistant professor in the Department of Neurology at Oregon Health & Science University, and president of the Parapsychological Association. Dr. Wahbeh is known for her research on channeling using a noetic approach.
